Abstract
A historical account of the forming of an all Black colony in the Mississippi Delta by Isaiah T. Montgomery and his cousin Benjamin T. Green, both former slaves on the Joe Davis Plantation in the Mississippi Delta. Joe Davis was the brother of Jefferson Davis. Much research was done in order for this project to be completed and understood. My father, Charles C. Stringer, Sr. was born in Mound Bayou, Mississippi.
