Abstract

The Bush Administration wants to push down standardized curriculum to early care and education classrooms for the purpose of school readiness and higher literacy test scores. In response, this study identifies strengths and weaknesses, as well as challenges and successes experienced by one campus-based preschool program striving to incorporate culturally responsive curriculum.
