Abstract

Artway to Academics addresses the need for arts educational curricula for adolescent populations in low-income school districts. The project is the design and implementation of a visual arts program focused on providing adolescents with the opportunity for art history education, practical art experiences, and collaboration and leadership skills within a middle school setting.
