Abstract

There is an issue today of not being able to meet all the needs of students with disabilities in classrooms. Students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) learning plans are not receiving the attention and support they need to succeed in regular classes. This issue is important because close family members and friends have struggled with the system that is currently in place for students with learning plans. Five people, teachers and parents, were interviewed for this project because they have been affected in some way by this issue. Data revealed that there are many factors that are having negative impacts on students with learning plans in regular classrooms. Based on the data analysis, an informational brochure was created and distributed to help spread information about this issue. This project helps to address what is being done, and what can be done, to help benefit students with learning plans.
