Abstract

As of 2006, only 30% of college students were involved in volunteering. The purpose of this project is to research what can and has been done to increase the number of college students volunteering, as well as the resources that are available for college students who want to get involved. For this project, I decided to focus on college students volunteering because I feel that they are capable and well qualified candidates to give their time to the healing of society. My research inspired me to take action by creating a leaflet containing information about volunteering. I felt that by making this information available and more prevalent in their everyday lives, college students may be more inclined to volunteer.
