Abstract

Despite the fact that some healing/ therapeutic effects of the virtual and TV world do exist, morally ambiguous media messages do not provide proper education about real-life violence. It's true that all teenagers have a great ability to distinguish fiction from reality and revaluate the violent messages on the screen; however, those messages do not provide a useful tool in regaining their power and self-esteem and are rather detrimental to their mental health.
