Abstract
This senior capstone examines the role of guidance counselors and their influence on students who pursue a career in teaching. Through interviews with five guidance counselors from five local schools in the Monterey Bay area and surveys with both counselors and students, this capstone shed some light on the role a counselor has in guiding young adults who are interested in becoming teachers.
