Capstone Project (B.A.) Liberal Studies Department
Abstract
From Martha's Vineyard to Gallaudet University, the Deaf have forged a cultural identity and have fought to be recognized politically, socially, and linguistically. This paper begins with discussion of the history and modern proliferation of the Deaf cultural movement and provides a critical analysis of the state and quality of social services available for the Deaf.
