Abstract
Alexis Sturgeon has created a powerful visual metaphor that represents the nature of the relationship of humankind and the environment. For some, the geometric lines attached violently to the irregular shape of the tree are a reminder of the paradox that lies underneath the relationship of humankind and its environment. The artist focuses instead on the representation of the strength of nature giving support to our most vital experiences.
