Abstract
In this oral history the author explores the current state of gender relations in a rural community in Northwestern Spain. While it is indeed the case that the appreciations from a visitor that has been in place for only a few weeks permits for only a glance on what the state of the matter is, it is just as true that there are schemes of behavior and apparent realities that deserve contrasting and comment.
