Poster used to warn agricultural workers about pesticide use in fields. It features a skull-and-crossbones symbol and the bilingual text: “Danger pesticides. Keep out. Peligro pesticidas. No entre.” In 1981, Monterey County Agricultural Commissioner Richard W. Nutter adopted an emergency regulation requiring signs to alert workers when fields had recently been treated with pesticides.
