Abstract
Many children, ages 1 to 3, have not yet learned skills to self- regulate their emotions. When toddlers are able to self-regulate their emotions, they may be able to manage a challenging or conflictual situation and avoid physically hurting others. In order to help them identify their feelings and to learn skills to regulate their emotions, I created a three-day lesson on emotions for the toddlers in the Toddler 1 classroom at Peninsula Center for Infants and Toddlers in Seaside, California.
