Abstract
When individuals adopt a fixed mindset, they are more likely to give up while encountering a challenge. However, when individuals adopt a growth mindset, they are more likely to persist; despite, experiencing challenges. High school students may benefit from increasing their growth mindset statements by continuing with their education despite encountering challenges. Therefore, I developed a two-day lesson on developing growth mindset statements for a ninth-grade English class at Pajaro Valley High School in Watsonville, California.
