Abstract

Classrooms all over the country are increasing in diversity day by day. It is essential for students to understand the different cultures, ethnicities, values, and beliefs as our society is constantly evolving. This senior capstone examines the importance of integrating multicultural literature in elementary schools for their students. Through the use of literature review and teachers’ interviews, the results indicate that it is very important for teachers to implement multicultural literature in their classrooms to benefit their students.
