Abstract
The purpose of this senior capstone project is to examine the social and emotional development of early childhood education on elementary school students and how it affects them into their adolescence. Through the use of literature review, and survey of ten (10) teachers, the result found that early childhood impacted elementary school students later on in their social and emotional development following them into, not only their adolescence, but also into their adulthood. In addition it was found, children who receive the tools to cope with their emotions and interact with their peers are able to perform better academically.
