Abstract
First-generation high school students may be unaware of the different post-secondary opportunities available to them and how to pay for them. When these students do not know the different post-secondary options available to them, they may decide that post-secondary education is unachievable or not made for them. First-generation, high school students who learn about different opportunities available may feel motivated to continue their education and find new opportunities they recognize that could positively impact their future. Therefore, I have created a two-day workshop for first-generation high school students from North Monterey County High School in Castroville, California.
