Abstract

Many high school students face challenges in academic decision-making. Without support in developing academic decision-making skills, they may lack the skills to recognize opportunities and make poor choices that could affect their educational trajectory. When these students learn to recognize and manage psychological and emotional responses in decision making, they may be better able to make clear and confident decisions about their education and future career. Therefore, I have created a one-day workshop to teach decision-making skills for high school students at Pajaro Valley High School in Watsonville, California.
