Abstract
Many young children have not yet learned to identify and regulate their emotions. As a result, young children may experience more tantrums, discipline from teachers, and feel isolated from their peers. When children learn to identify and regulate their emotions, they will be able to increase their social skills, have an easier time making friends, and improve their academic performance. In order to address this issue, I created a three-day lesson for four-year-olds at Carmelo School in Carmel, California.
