Abstract
Each new generation of children in the U.S. are becoming more racially diverse, yet the criminalization of people of color continues to be a significant problem. This research paper studies the psychological effects and the impact on education achievement that the current standard of zero tolerance punishment in our education system has on students of color, and highlights restorative justice as a better way forward.
