Abstract
This research paper will look into some of the reasons why the importance of physical education is essential to a student's academics. It will also look into the state policies in place regarding physical education. As well as two major research programs that provide evidence to support physical education. Evidence ranging from health benefits to increased cognitive abilities. This paper's purpose is to highlight these benefits and ensure that students have every opportunity to reach their academic potential.
