Abstract
Many elders may be unaware of what dementia is and are concerned about the possibility of developing dementia in themselves or loved ones. Their concerns may be alleviated by understanding the signs and symptoms of dementia and some preventative practices. Therefore, I created a one-day workshop on increasing awareness of dementia for Japanese elders at Rolling Hills Covenant Church in Palos Verdes Estates, California.
