Abstract
This thesis is an action based research project that looks at the six types of low oral communicators, including communication apprehensives, in my high school classroom. These low communication types are the result of research by communication expert James Croskey and others. Through the use of student reflections on various teaching methods for "shy" students, this thesis attempts to answer the question of what can teachers do in their classroom to encourage students who are low oral communicators.
