Abstract

There is an extraordinary amount of benefits when it comes to incorporating visual arts into elementary school classrooms. This senior capstone explores those benefits through a literature review, teacher interviews, and student surveys. The finding reveals that incorporating visual arts into elementary school classrooms has many benefits ranging from academic to emotional. Teachers believe that incorporating visual arts into their classrooms is important and the results from student surveys also validate that they benefit from having visual arts incorporated into their lessons.
