Abstract
The benefits of Creative arts on elementary school students in the classroom are numerous. In today’s society however creative arts is a class subject that is no longer being considered academic. Certain acts (No Child Left Behind and Ryan Act) and the remodeling of California’s education over the years have contributed to creative arts being taught less in California schools. The purpose of my project will be to explore and examine the benefits of creative arts on elementary school students in the classroom. This will be done through literature reviews, onsite community partnership, and a teacher interview. My findings have shown that creative arts benefit students in the classroom by contributing to a well-rounded education by being integrated into a class curriculum (if taught occasionally).
