Abstract
As technology becomes more and more integrated into our society, traditional bullying among our children has taken on a new face. This new face is cyber bullying. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects cyber bullying has on the development of middle school students. This paper will address the cognitive and emotional effects that result from cyber bullying as well as the social development issues that occur. At the conclusion of this project, preventative measures for schools, teachers, and parents will be discussed as to how they can prevent and reduce cyber bullying of middle school students.
