Abstract

This movie is going to follow Danny Holloway, an aspiring stand up comedian with a stuttering problem, through a two week period in his life as he tries to get local gigs in local clubs. He will have difficulty finding a place to perform, and the film will climax when he is giving his first performance in front of a crowd. Over the two weeks that we watch him, Danny will make the transition from armature stand up, to semi-professional comedian. It will be shot like a documentary and will include interviews from Danny and his family. The whole thing will be a dark comedy. It will [be] inspiring in a depressing sort of way, and will make the audience feel quite guilty for laughing.
