Abstract
At the present time, there are many high school students who are struggling to pass their content classes. Some of the reasons may be lack of home support, language, migrant status, or inconsistent tutorial programs offered at the high schools. Young Life is an outreach which serves middle and high school students. However, as great as Young Life is, it was lacking an after-school tutorial program to help the students that attend Young Life Club on Mondays nights. Most recently, Young Life House opened its doors after school every Monday to mentor and tutor at-risk students. The goal of this outreach was to tutor and mentor students to pass the classes that they were at risk of failing. The Young Life Program will be the focal part of my paper. The literature and research will support why Young Life is such a powerful program and helps students meet the mark.
