Description
Photograph of a group of soldiers peering at and into a "height-finder," part of a batch of captured weapons and equipment brought to Fort Ord from Attu. "It is shorter-based than U.S. range finder, therefore not as accurate. Puzzling was the fact that the directions on this piece of equipment were in Chinese characters."
