Abstract
This Capstone Project focused on creating an emotionally safe classroom. To learn more about how to effectively support students in the classroom environment, research was conducted to get an insider’s perspective from a school that has effectively created a safe environment for students. A teacher and the principal of Cedarcreek Elementary School, located in Canyon Country, California were interviewed. Based on the information gathered from both a literature review and the interviews, it was decided that a “Fill your Bucket” program would be implemented at this school. The goal of this program is for students at Cedarcreek to gain more emotional stability and a larger insight into the emotions of others.
