Abstract
Building Healthy Communities (BHC) is a non-profit organization is a based organization that is working to support community engagement and leadership for a healthy, safe, and thriving East Salinas and the wider Salinas Valley. BHC serves Salinas residents in East Salinas especially targeting youth, adults, and parents. The Marco level problem is that Too few Alisal Parents practice self-care. The micro level problem is the lack of knowledge of self-care. This project aims to expand self-care knowledge and develop a workshop on the different techniques of self-care and personal growth, and incorporating a routine in their daily life. The most important finding is that parents don't practice self-care because of the lack of time and cultural beliefs.
