Abstract
Outdoor education and experiential learning are extremely important in elementary schools but is drastically declining due to No Child Left Behind legislation, lack of funding, and resources. Teacher and student surveys as well as interviews have shown that outdoor education and learning through experiences are beneficial for elementary school students but are not prevalent in schools due to lack of funding and resources. Some solutions that have been suggested to help fix this problem are fundraising for field trips and resources along with bringing more lessons outside.
