Abstract
The immigrant community in San Benito County experiences limited job options, housing and food resources. Youth Alliance is an organization that supports struggling youth and families in need of local resources. The Resource Binder created through Youth Alliance is a tool that provides information on different resources available in San Benito County. Those who don't have legal status in the United States have limited job options and obtaining citizenship in the United States is nearly impossible for immigrants from certain countries. As a result they are forced to work in unsafe environments which has led to the continuous cycle of poverty and homelessness due to housing concerns. The Immigration Resource binder focuses on helping Youth Alliance Staff provide basic resources to the Immigration Community in San Benito County. Findings were that out of the 16 participants 100% of participants would use the resource binder when looking for resources to help clients. 94% of the 16 participants found the resource binder helpful. Recommendations include revising the binder every six months to keep the information up to date, revising the font to make it cohesive, and combining all the spanish information together to make the Binder more cohesive.
