Abstract
"Youth N.O.W. is a non-profit organization located in Watsonville, California, that provides no-cost afterschool programming to support student's academic progress in the Pajaro Valley. Youth N.O.W. serves a low-income population of students, families who work in agriculture, and other at-risk youth who are at higher risk of not graduating. The macro-level problem is an increasing disparity between students of different socioeconomic statuses and races due to various opportunities and resources during distance learning's environment. The micro-level problem is Watsonville students are negatively impacted by fully online education due to COVID-19 restrictions. This project will assess the impacts of fully online learning on a small sample of students who will participate in an online survey. The expected outcome is for the agency to understand these impacts to provide increased future support and add to its student's toolbox to succeed academically.
