Abstract
Some elementary children may have problems forming and maintaining positive relationships with their friends. Without these kinds of social-emotional learning and self-regulation skills, children may not form strong relationships with their peers and experience poor academic and social performance. Therefore, I created a three-day lesson on multiple ways of enacting kindness for a group of Kindergarten, first grade, and second-grade students in the Afterschool Academy (Expanded Learning Opportunity) Program at Olson Elementary School in Marina, California.
