Abstract
Preschoolers are getting ready for their transitioning to kindergarten with the help of their pre-k teachers. Preschoolers need experience opportunities that will help them be familiarize and be ready for the kindergarten math skills. The five year olds have the opportunity to experience addition-problem solving, pattern problem solving and using a ruler accurately. The study determined that preschool age children did have the opportunity to learn new math skills and still increase with their socio-emotional skills during small groups as they implemented the activities. Preschool age children are getting their learning experience through hands-on activities that keep them focus for 20-30 minutes.
