Abstract

Many elementary school students experience bullying. As a result, they may develop anxiety or depression and suffer from decreased academic performance. When elementary school students learn how to address bullying by their peers, the rates of bullying behavior decrease. To address the lack of bullying prevention education, I created a two-day lesson for the third graders in the Afterschool Academy (Expanded Learning Opportunity) at Olson Elementary School in Marina, California.
