Abstract
Many young elementary school children have not yet developed effective emotional regulation skills. Children who lack these skills may use coping strategies like isolation, aggressive behavior, and emotional suppression that may be harmful for themselves and their peers. When children learn how to manage their emotions, they are able to use effective coping strategies to calm down, may improve their academic performance, and strengthen their relationships. Therefore, I have created a one day, fifty minute lesson for kindergarten elementary school children from Amesti Elementary School in Watsonville, California.
