Abstract

This document concentrates on the predominance of aggressive behavior in children. The document points out crucial points about the importance of children recognizing and learning to identify their own emotions and those of others. Children with social and emotional skills are less likely to commit violent acts in the future. Parent involvement is very critical to help children with aggressive behavior. The student provided a 6-week bilingual parent workshop utilizing the Second Step Family Guide curriculum to Head Start families focusing on three major points, empathy, impulse control/problem solving, and anger management tools.
