Abstract
Throughout the summer, children from low socio-income families may not have an opportunity to enjoy their time off from school in a safe and enriching environment. It is important to assure that all children have an opportunity to enroll in engaging and supportive programs that allow them to prosper. In order to offer these families a free or low cost program, knowing where and how to obtain funding is crucial. Research included a survey, in which participants shared their knowledge and insights into, how to successfully obtain money to run a supportive and effective program. Results indicate that building partnerships and collaborating with lead agencies, community members, and volunteers is critical to creating a financially stable program. Articles also mentioned that providing a range of activities increases the quality and success of a program. The knowledge gained from the researched was shared with essential stakeholders.
