Abstract
Two-Way Bilingual Immersion is an educational approach that integrates language minority and language majority students, and provides instruction to these students in two languages. This educational approach has been around for more that forty years, and it has experienced impressive growth over the last years. Due to its impressive growth, many researchers have conducted numerous studies in order to find about the effectiveness of the programs and at the same time to find out if it is accomplishing its three major goals among students: bilingualism and bi-literacy, grade-level academic achievement and cross-cultural awareness.
