Abstract
Outdoor education is an important aspect of overall learning. The experiential and hands on education it provides are incredibly valuable, but many schools are unable to provide adequate outdoor education programs for students. For this Capstone Project, the researcher will investigate how local educational professionals view outdoor education and the suggestions they have for incorporating outdoor education into the current curriculum. Based on an analysis of the data and the relevant research literature, the researcher will then go into the community with the intent to help create and maintain garden boxes in a local school. In doing so, the researcher hopes to improve the experience of students in local communities.
