Abstract
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common mental health disorders identified in children. Inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity play a large role in the academic and social difficulties that a child with ADHD will likely experience. The purpose of this paper is to address the fact that many teachers are severely undereducated about ADHD and, therefore, do not understand how to efficiently work with students diagnosed with this particular disorder. Implementing a professional development workshop for educators will promote a better understanding of ADHD, as well as successful classroom management tools that teachers can use with their students.
