Abstract
Parental involvement has a major impact on the education of children; however, there is a permeating concern that Mixteco and Triqui parents are uninvolved in their children’s education. Given this concern, this senior capstone research project examines the factors and their role that may influence the Mixteco and Triqui parental involvement in their children’s education. The findings reveal insights that could inform schools and educators’ efforts for increasing Mixteco and Triqui parental involvement in schools.
