Abstract

In order for children to form and maintain positive relationships with peers and adults, children must develop adequate skills to treat others with kindness. Without social-emotional learning skills and self-regulation skills, children’s current and future success and peer relationships may hinder. In order to address Kindergarteners’ social-emotional learning skills, I have created a 3-day lesson plan, which covers various ways to perform acts of kindness with others and delivered it to a group of Kindergarten children at Cesar E. Chavez Elementary School in Greenfield, California.
